The Price of Freedom
Chapter 1: Change
Katelyn stared at the mottled grey ceiling. Everything around her was either a dull shade of grey, black, or brown. She sighed. They desperately needed some new color in the principal’s office. This was not the first-time Katelyn had been in Mr. Stalit’s office. Oh no. She was not necessarily a trouble maker; it’s just that trouble always seemed to find her. Today was no different. Her day had been going just fine until she had been requested in to see Principle Stalit.
Flashback:
She had Geography with Ms. Kline and two weeks ago they had received partners to work on the final proj
4. The battle in the schoolyard
Mayru was in the playground now after lunch. She saw a few students gather to play with anything. Perhaps with a ball or throwing sticks or the like. When she walked closer to them, she realized that the ball was played by most students.
- Hello there! said one of the five boys at her. Should you play ball with us?
Mayru shook her head.
- I wonder what you're up to, she said.
- We play ball, the boy replied. Do you wanna join?
- No, replied Mayru.
Just then he heard a scream far away from them.
- What was that? wondered one of the three girls.
Everyone turned.
- Isn't that... Anet who's screaming, huh? asked t
Sprawling blue,
Yellowish-cream colored glitter.
Soft and pebbled.
Faint and in the distance,
Are circling white wings.
And gliding.
Further down are shady trees,
With a display of quiet-strength.
Green and shadow dotted dirt and sand ground.
Painted sky,
Smooth strokes of a purple-orange haze.
Half of a blinding sun that speckle
The shifting bright water.
A tender breeze,
Sandy toes.
Under the highest leaves,
Over the lowest branches.
My eyes are forever attracted,
To the far-away borders,
That separate ocean and sky.
Gaze upon the outlines of what is becoming
All that is there are silhouettes
All that is there are echoes
Don’t fear, you are on the other side
No, here does not lie a wasted requiem
That is merely just the surface
Others cry out to you like stabat mater
Yet, here you lie awake in the aether and light
What to do without a shred of insight?
Walk until you run, each step closer more
Go until you’re no longer abandoned in place
Go until you hear the bellows of the clarion
Breach through all that is midnight
Cast out from behind the shadows
This is the last time your sun will set
This is your homecoming
Gaze upon what is being

I sit in my chair,
I think,
I wonder,
Where in the world am I going?
I sit in my chair,
Forever there,
Living a lifelike blurr.
Where in the world am I going?
Where to be?
What to be?
All unanswerable questions.
How do I win this “Game of Life”?
How did it even start?
Where in the world am I going?
If am I to choose,
What I am to do,
If I am the world,
And the world is my destiny,
Where in the world am I going?
All will end,
As all has begun.
And as the end comes,
So does my answer,
To the question of life.
Where in the world am I going?
I ask myself again and again,
Where in the world am I going?

It’s been nearly a month since we finished our last mission. Pontiac gave us a pretty generous vacation after we got back to the agency. Jay bought himself one of those newfangled Nintendo 3DS systems. He showed me a game on it called Pokemon. However, having no thumbs makes it hard to play any human video games. The game intrigued me though, so as I sat at my computer in the agency I decided to look into it. I found some sort of virtual reality version of the game online so I decided to try it out. I created an account and pressed the play but

In The Heart For Them - chapter 10
10. The necklace
In the evening when Sonic and Espio had eaten dinner with Mighty six hours earlier, they walked in the woods. The only Sonic held in his hand was a necklace with three pendants that were cross, anchor and heart.
- I wonder, whose necklace is that? he wondered. And where does it come from?
Espio shrugged.
- We'll soon see, Sonic, he said.
When they arrived at the tree, they laid down and embraced each other. They caressed each other and kissed each other. But after that, Sonic interrupted himself and was still holding the necklace that was left.
- Put it under the branches, said Espio. I don't think anyone will catch sight of
